What time can I volunteer?

Important: OUR published hours for the public are different from the hours you will volunteer. The actual hours of your volunteer shifts are listed below.

Saturdays:

Tax Preparers and Quality Reviewers have a choice of 2 shifts on Saturdays – 8:00 AM-10:45 AM and 10:45 AM – 1:30 PM or both. Preparers selecting both shifts are given preference in scheduling.

Greeters, Asset Educators, Translators and Screeners also have a choice of two shifts – 7:30 AM – 10:15 AM and 10:15 AM – 1:00 PM or both.  Volunteers selecting both shifts are given preference in scheduling.

Wednesday Night:

The shift is from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM for all volunteers.  Any volunteers who are able to come earlier are asked to arrive at 4:30 PM.  We also recognize that some of you travel from your jobs in Phoenix or have class until 5:00.  It is fine to arrive as soon as possible thereafter; however, it will help us to know in advance that you will be arriving late.

How do I sign up for a Volunteer Shift?

New volunteers will be given instructions for signing up for volunteer shifts on January 25th during the Orientation session.
Returning volunteers will be given instructions by email.
