Financial Education

“Financial literacy is just as important in life as the other basics.  — John W. Rogers, Jr.”

Tempe Community Council’s Financial Stability Initiative (FSI) offers a variety of financial education opportunities for families, children (age 5-17) and Arizona State University students.

From January-June 2015, FSI will be offering its popular Kids Save curriculum to children in the Tempe Elementary and Kyrene school district afterschool programs.  City of Tempe’s KidZone, Kyrene’s Kids Club and the East Valley Boys and Girls Clubs in Tempe serve as venues children ages 4-8 to participate in the Kids Save financial education program for free.

The financial education programs offered through FSI are lead by trained volunteer instructors from Wells Fargo and Bank of America.  The partnership with these financial institutions is greatly appreciated and has benefited many in the Tempe community – providing the necessary tools to become and stay financially stable and independent.
