Tempe Community Council (TCC), a 501(c)(3) human services nonprofit, is seeking a Tax Site Assistant for its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which provides free tax preparation services to low- and moderate-income individuals and families each year.

While Tempe’s VITA tax site operates from late January through April 15, this seasonal position begins before the site opens and continues through the completion of tax-season closeout activities. Prior to the start of tax preparation services, the Tax Site Assistant will complete required IRS certification training, which may begin as early as December. Hours during the pre-tax season will vary, with flexibility in the time commitment required as the site prepares to open.
