Tempe Community Foundation
Tempe: Today, Tomorrow, Forever
A Caring Investment for a Strong Tempe
The Tempe Community Foundation (TCF) was founded in 1992 with the support of local leaders who wished to continue the tradition of Tempe philanthropy, and establish a centralized place for giving back to the community.
Gifts to TCF are held and managed as part of a permanent endowment. Endowed funds maximize donor gifts, improving the welfare of the community today while leaving a legacy for future generations.
Special COVID Grants Distributed
In the early months of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic shutdown, Tempe Community Foundation was able to utilize collaborative endowment funds to give special COVID-related grants to various nonprofit agencies providing essential services to Tempe residents. Those organizations receiving these special funds include:
- Tempe Community Action Agency – $25,000
- Tempe Family YMCA – $9,000
- Tempe Salvation Army – $7,000
- City of Tempe Homeless Outreach Program Efforts (HOPE) – $5,000
- Mountain Park Health Center – $4,000
