Two Threadz clothes closets are available as a FREE resource for Tempe middle and high school teens from the Tempe Union, Tempe Elementary and Kyrene school districts (school ID required). Both Threadz locations carry a wide selection of new and/or gently-used clothing and shoes, personal hygiene items, school supplies and more.

How You Can Help

There are many ways you can support our teens and Threadz teen clothes closets:

Cash Donations

Help us buy items needed new or not donated such as underwear, socks and unique sizes by making a cash donation or gifting Amazon gift cards. 

Clothing & Hygiene Items

We are accepting donated school supplies, full-sized hygiene products, and new or gently-used clothing appropriate for ages 13-18 years only.  Any donated undergarments or socks must be new and still in original packaging.

    • Clean teen-appropriate clothing  age 13-18 (new or gently-used) (t-shirts, in larger sizes especially needed)
    • Shoes  (athletic, dress and casual (male teen and large sizes are especially needed)
    • PE/sports clothing (gym shorts, shirts)
    • Bras, men’s boxer briefs, women’s underwear,  socks – these items must be NEW and in original package 
    • Personal hygiene items – full size shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, etc.
    • Ethnic hair products (shampoo and conditioner)
    • Purses, accessories and other teen-desired items accepted. 

School Supplies

    • Backpacks (adult/teen size to carry textbooks)
    • Composition notebooks
    • College-ruled loose leaf paper
    • Index cards
    • Click-type pens
    • Highlighters
    • 3-ring notebook binders (plain or teen-appropriate)
    • Scientific calculators

Where to Drop Off Your Donations

Any Threadz location during operation hours, or respective school front office when open.   No pick-ups are available.
